US100 started a new week lower after S&P Dow Jones Indices announced rebalancing to major Wall Street benchmarks. In spite of meeting all requirements, Tesla was omitted and will not be added to S&P 500 index after Wall Street closes on Friday, September 18. Announcement caused Tesla stock to drop around 5% in after-hours trading on Friday and is dragging tech index lower at the start of a new week.
Keep in mind that the US stock market will be closed today in observance of Labour Day. US futures will close earlier at 6:00 pm BST.
