- Contracts in Europe point to higher opening
- Publications of final PMI data from Europe and the US
- Jerome Powell's speech
- Labor market data from Canada
In the last session of this week, the stock markets on the Old Continent are set to open in good spirits. Futures indicate a higher opening for the German, British, and Eurozone stock exchanges. The better sentiment is supported by a slightly weakening dollar, rising bond prices, and 10-year yields dropping to the level of 3.0%.
Today, investors will encounter several interesting publications. Among them are PMI reports, which have already positively surprised in the first part of the day. However, the readings are still low, and for most economies, estimates indicate readings well below 50 points. Equally interesting events today will be speeches by Fed members, including Chairman Jerome Powell and Vice Chairman for Supervision Michael Barr.
