US data pack for July
Futures markets point to a more or less flat opening of the European session. The big event of the week - Fed's economic symposium at Jackson Hole - will be held today. Meeting will be launched at 2:00 pm BST but a key speech - speech from Chairman Powell - will be delivered at 3:00 pm BST. However, as the event will be held fully virtually, markets are expecting a balanced message and lack of major announcements. Moreover, the event will not be attended by any central bank chief, other than Powell.
Apart from Jackson Hole, US data pack at 1:30 pm BST, including PCE inflation, may trigger some short-term swings on the US dollar market.
