Holiday in the US and Canada
Futures markets point to a slightly weaker opening of today's cash session for European blue chips indices. Moods deteriorate around an hour before session launch after European futures have been trading flat throughout the Asian session. Holidays are observed today in the United States and Canada. While stock trading on Wall Street will run as usual, the US bonds market will remain closed and no economic data will be published. As a result, the US trading session in the afternoon may be light in terms of news.
There are however a lot of important releases from the United States scheduled for the later part of the week, including FOMC minutes and US CPI data on Wednesday.
