Phase 4 stimulus bill could be introduced today
European and US futures are trading near Friday's closing prices. Moods on the global market are mixed as investors are weighing escalating US-China tensions against the prospect of a new stimulus. Steven Mnuchin said that the GOP will introduce the Phase 4 stimulus bill today. It could be a potential market mover but Mnuchin warned that it could be done piecemeal.
Apart from that, Monday offers investors a slow start to the week with just 2 noteworthy readings scheduled for release. German IFO index for July will draw investors' attention in the morning while US durable goods orders data may provide some volatility in the early afternoon. There are any major earnings releases scheduled either.
