Meta Platforms to report earnings after market close
Futures markets point to a more or less flat opening of the European cash session today. Situation on the markets calmed following yesterday's carnage on Wall Street. Nevertheless, investors remain nervous as risk to global growth remains and Russia is pushing forward with cutting "unfriendly" countries off its natural gas supply. Gazprom said that it has halted flows to Polish PGNiG and Bulgarian Bulgargaz and will not resume them unless payments are made in Russian rubles.
When it comes to economic releases scheduled for today, investors will be offered US pending home sales data for March as well as DOE report on oil inventories. Meta Platforms, formerly Facebook, will report results after close of the Wall Street session.
