- Canada and some European markets closed for holiday
- Central Bankers speeches
Economic calendar for Monday is almost empty. Chicago Fed National Activity Index for April is the only print scheduled for release but it should not have much of an impact on prices and traders can expected today's trading to be driven by headline news as well as speeches from central bankers (i.e. Kuroda at 1:05 BST, Bailey at 3:30 pm BST). However liquidity conditions throughout the day may be thinner as key markets in Europe (Germany, France, Switzerland) will be closed for holiday (Pentecost/Whit Monday). Today's Monday is also a public holiday in Canada (Victoria Day). Earnings calendar is almost empty as well as all the major companies have already released their Q1 results.
