NFP report expected to show recovery slowing down
European futures markets point to a higher opening of today's cash session. Sentiment may play a key role today as the economic calendar is almost empty today. ECB Chief Christine Lagarde will speak at European Parliament at 2:45 pm BST while BoE Chief Andrew Bailey will make an online address at 3:00 pm BST. Some elevated volatility may be spotted on the British pound this week as a final round of EU-UK talks begins today. Some of the main sticking points, including fisheries, are scheduled to be discussed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Negotiations will conclude on Friday with a meeting of two chief negotiators scheduled for 9:00 am BST.
Apart from that, liquidity may be a bit thinner in the second half of the week as Chinese Golden Week holiday starts on Thursday, October 1.
