API report, Fed speakers
Futures markets point to a flat opening of today's cash session on the Old Continent. Situation looks to be stabilizing following yesterday's declines on the stock markets. Cryptocurrencies have also stabilized with Bitcoin trading in a narrow $1,000 range during the Asian session. Nevertheless, coin made a break below the lower limit of the range at $46,000 this morning and dropped towards $45,000.
There aren't too many data releases scheduled for today. Nevertheless, there are some noteworthy events scheduled for the day ahead. The Bank of Canada is set to announce a monetary policy decision at 3:00 pm BST. BoC is expected to stay on hold given weaker data from Canada recently. Any actions by BoC are more likely at October's meeting as a new set of forecasts will be released then. Apart from the BoC decision, investors will also be offered API report on oil stocks and speeches from Fed members.
