Today, the macroeconomic calendar has no significant events planned that could impact global financial markets. However, in the coming days, we will see several important releases, including the Fed's interest rate decision.
The Fed meeting may be particularly interesting, as last week both the Bank of Canada and the ECB started their first cuts of interest rate. Investors' attention will be focused on Jerome Powell's speech and any hints about rate cuts in the second half of this year. On Wednesday, before the decision is announced, we will also get the CPI data from the US for May. Expectations indicate a reading at the same level as last month, which is 3.4% year-on-year.
