US Conference Board Consumer Confidence index increased to 129.1 in July from the previous month's 127.3 and well above market expectations of 123.9. Further details of the publication showed that the Present Situation Index jumped to 160.3 from 157.7 and the Consumer Expectations Index edged higher to 108.4 from 107. Finally, the One-year Consumer Inflation Rate Expectations declined to 6.6% from 6.7%.
