As reported by CNBC, a group led by several high-profile Democratic Party officials is calling on the Federal Reserve to halt interest rate hikes so as not to risk causing too much damage to the economy.
As reported by media sources, 10 senators and representatives, led by Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Reps. Pramila Jayapal of Washington and Brendan Boyle of Pennsylvania, outlined their concerns about the Fed's monetary policy strategy and its "potential to collapse the US labour market" in a letter to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell on Monday. According to the money market, tomorrow's interest rate decision will bring a 25 basis point hike and end the current US cycle.
