Hecla stock surged 40% on retail interest

Hecla Mining Co. (HL.US) shares rose more than 40 % during today's session as retail investors via online chatrooms like Reddit, turned their interest to silver market. Futures contracts for this precious metal jumped more than 10 % which also caused an increase in share prices of individual silver mining companies, including Hecla.  

Hecla Mining Co. (HL.US) stock surged more than 40 % and  hit a new 52-week high of $8.40. However buyers failed to uphold momentum and stock quickly erased a significant part  of today's gains. Currently price is testing major support at $7.00. Should a break below occur, then downward move may accelerate towards $6.25 level. Source: xStation5
