Pro-independence parties win Scotish elections
European futures point to a higher opening of the European cash session today. Oil is trading higher after a major US fuel pipeline network on the East Coast has been shut down following a cyberattack. In spite of a good showing of Scottish pro-independence parties in last week's elections, GBP traders do not seem to worry about a potential independence referendum. GBP is the best performing major currency today.
Today's economic calendar is almost empty with no top-tier releases scheduled. However, will be offered some US earnings releases, including reports from Novavax and Occidental Petroleum.
