JPMorgan and BlackRock report Q1 earnings
Futures markets point to a slightly lower opening of the European cash session. DAX futures trade around 50 points below yesterday's cash close. There are few interesting releases and events scheduled for today. CAD traders will tune in for monetary policy decision with Bank of Canada being expected to deliver a 50 basis point rate hike. PPI report from the US will also be released but it rarely has a big impact on the market. Last but not least, today is the beginning of the Wall Street earnings season with the release of the financial report from the first major US bank. JPMorgan will publish Q1 2022 results ahead of the opening bell today, accompanied by BlackRock, Delta Air Lines and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
