Netflix reports Q2 earnings
Futures markets point to a slightly higher opening of the European cash session following a severe sell-off yesterday. Economic calendar for today is light. Investors will be offered Polish industrial production reading in the morning and US housing market data in the afternoon. Oil may experience some more short-term volatility in the late evening when the API report is released.
US earnings season is gathering pace. Top release today will come from Netflix (NFLX.US) after the close of the US session. Video streaming company is expected to more than double EPS compared to Q2 2020. Subscriber numbers will be watched closely following just a 4 million increase in Q1 2021.
